I’m my own stylist, like any other girl in the world would be. I do not have the luxury to spend behind stylists, instead I follow trends I like and create my own signature styles on the way. Style keeps on changing everyday for me. But there is a method to this madness I promise!

I am a huge fan of good fabric and that’s what attracts me to clothes much before any style element. If the fabric is good and the style is unique, it goes straight in my shopping cart.

As a woman in her late 20’s and by now I’ve surpassed the stage of body-shaming myself, not understanding what looks good and what doesn’t… sticking to some staples and having oversized clothes. I’ve gone through it all and now I understand the unnecessary societal pressure to look in a certain way and become a xerox-copy body-image of someone else.

But I find fashion and personal style so much more fun now. Age and experiences elevate your taste in life. Clothing for instance, is a part of that dramatic change. Embracing one’s self is clearly the foundation of it all.

Talking about summer, Mumbai gets crazy hot during summer and that’s exactly what calls to bring out all the flow, comfortable, fun, short, cute dresses, shorts, jumpsuits and much more. I need easy, low maintenance, non-body sticking, perspiration proof, breathable clothing. It’s true. Don’t do Ew! 😛 Live next to Topic of Cancer and you’d know what I’m talking about.

The idea is to throw one on and get done in a jiffy. Not too many layers of clothes and just letting my skin breath.

I shop on the go. My usual spots are Topshop, Asos, Pull&Bear, Zara, River Island, Mango, ForeverNew, NEXT, Missguided, Uniqlo and others when I’m in London. The list is endless. However, back in India I try to stick to M&S, CottonWorld, Zara, Mango vibe.

I am more of an actual shopper than an online shopper when it comes to India. However, if I were to think what would be the marriage of Asos+boohoo = ? It would be www.koovs.com for me.

I’ve shopped from Koovs many a times previously, but it has been a while since I had visited their website last. Out of all the online retailers, I prefer koovs for the simple reason that their “quality” of products is unmatched in my opinion. I’ve never had a bad experience with them and they always tend to have trendy pieces which I tend like. I’m not saying that they are always on point on fashion but they are close enough in “trendy clothes” department in my opinion. Just know what you want and order. Simple.

My first order with them was on 7th of November, 2013! Can you imagine?

I just checked my order list on koovs.com and I can easily say that I’ve ordered with koovs.com to know more than enough about their products and services.

P.S. I’ve not been paid/sponsored by them at all. I’ve spent my hard earned coin each and every time on koovs.

This time around I came across their “London Calling” Collection and I felt like it was calling my name! London is my second home and this collection was inspired by London fashion and style. They had some exciting pieces in the collection, but I was looking for some casual yet smart pieces to wear on a regular day to brunch or maybe on a weekend with friends and family.

So, in that line of thinking I picked up 4 pieces for summer coming up to a total of Rs.5,846/- only (Thankfully I had a promo code and I landed up paying only Rs.2,338/- and saving Rs.3,508/- instead!). Each of the 4 pieces are for different occasions, go on and have a look –

All of the dresses are easy-to-wear and dress up or dress down as well. Each piece looks super classy and minimalistic. Hence, I thought why not share an OOTD of one of the pieces that I’m actually wearing today! Here are few shots –

I hope you enjoyed these looks as much as I did. They are raw and real.

So far, I’m really enjoying this haul. Koovs has outdone itself with the fabrics once again.

#ProTip They are spot on with their sizing so kindly have a look at the measurements before you buy and also the type of fabric – stretchy or non-stretchable.
